Scholarships for Students

The Foundation awards scholarships to graduating seniors to help with the cost of higher education. Applicants must meet specific criteria to be considered for each scholarship. Read more about the scholarships offered by the Foundation ยป

Grants for Teachers

Grants support innovative classroom projects, proposed by teachers, for which traditional funding is not available. To date, the Foundation has awarded over $1 million in grants to Spring ISD teachers.

Scholarships for Students

The Foundation awards scholarships to graduating seniors in honor of their academic accomplishments and to help with the cost of higher education. Applicants must meet specific criteria to be considered for each scholarship. Student scholarships offered by the Foundation include the following:

Andy Dekaney Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship recipient will be chosen from applicants from Dekaney High School. The Education Foundation will award one $1,000 scholarship annually.



Beneke Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship recipient will be chosen from applicants who will be graduating from Westfield or Wunsche High Schools. To qualify, the student must have attended Beneke Elementary. The Education Foundation will award one scholarship annually up to a maximum of $1,000.

Brenda Green Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship recipients will be chosen from applicants graduating from a Spring ISD high school. To qualify, applicants must be seniors planning to pursue careers in education. The Education Foundation will award up to two $500 scholarships annually.

Jeannie Shilling Hammer Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship recipients will be chosen from applicants who will be graduating from a Spring ISD high school. To qualify, applicants must be seniors planning to enter the field of music education. The Education Foundation will award one scholarship annually maximum of $1,000.

The Rumph Family Scholarship

Scholarship recipients will be chosen from applicants graduating from a Spring ISD high school. To qualify, applicants must be seniors planning to attend a HBCU (Historically Black College or University). The Education Foundation will award up to one $500 scholarship annually.

Spring Way Scholarship

Scholarship recipients will be chosen from applicants who will be graduating from a Spring ISD high school. To qualify, applicants must have a parent or legal guardian who is a current Spring ISD employee. The Education Foundation will award scholarships to each qualified applicant in the amount of $2000.

Wells Fargo Scholar Athlete Scholarship

Scholarship recipients will be chosen from applicants graduating from Dekaney, Spring, and Westfield High Schools. To qualify, applicants must be seniors who have participated and are presently in good standing in the Spring ISD athletics program and who have excelled in academics. The Education Foundation will award up to three $1500 scholarships annually.

Students:The completed application must be delivered to respective school counselors no later than 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017

Counselors:Applicants and transcript are due to the SISD Education Foundation office no later than 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 31, 2017.
